AFTER JOHN FREDERICK HERRING (1795-1865) ALICE HAWTHORN WITH A GROOM Bears signature and date (1844?), oil on canvas 36.5 x 49.5cm. * Alice Hawthorn, by Muley Moloch out of Rebecca, foaled in 1838. Bred and owned by Mr Plummer. Herring's prime version was sold at Christies London on December 12th 2012.
