* Boeckhorst studied under Jacob Jordaens (1593-1678) and collaborated with Jordaens, Rubens (1577-1640) and Frans Snyders (1579-1657) in Antwerp. This subject is a variant from a suite by Boeckhorst depicting the Continents, formerly in the collection of the Duke of Rutland.
