* Sabatini was a Neapolitan artist, influenced by Leonardo (1452-1519), via his Lombard pupil Cesare da Sesto (1477-1523) and by Raphael (1483-1520). He introduced these major artists' styles to southern Italy and his work dates from an early as 1508. The attribution to Sabatini was confirmed by Everett Fahy.
