* Possibly Stahleck Castle, Bacharach. Rhine. ".. Reached Rudesheim, where I saw the beauties of the Rhine for the first time, and crossed the river to Bingen. Next proceeded on foot to Bacharach and Pfalz, passing many old castles romantically situated on the tops of hills overlooking the river.." (1838)
