Provenance: Lawrences Crewkerne, April 12th 1984, lot 316, with a typed note from Leanora Woodhouse, dated 9/1/84, stating that the picture was a gift to the Woodhouse family from the artist and that the lady depicted was a resident in the same village as the artist, Handcross, near Crawley in Sussex.
