A 1796 VARIANT LIGHT CAVALRY SWORD.
Blue and Gilt 30" blade with clipped tip, Crown and GR cypher also foilage decoration. Steel stirrup hilt with rounded pommel backstrap and steel furniture to the leather scabbard. Marked on the plate as S Brunn. Sword Cutler to his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. No 55 Charing Cross . London. Blade marked J J Runkel Solingen on the spine. With a blade and matching scabbard, made to order at that time
