SIR AUCKLAND COLVIN - INSCRIBED OAK BOX, INDIAN INTEREST an oak box with an attached inscribed plaque, Presented to The Hon Sir Auckland Colvin, KCMG, CIE, Lieut Governor N.W.P and Chief Commissioner of Oudh, On the occasion of his opening the Wallerstein Volunteer Club, Cawnpore, 29th Jan, 1891. Box 25cms by 20cms Sir Auckland Colvin was a colonial administrator in India and Egypt and was born into the Anglo Indian Colvin family.
