A German Great War Hansiatic Cross of red enamel with central key motif, marked to the reverse with the legend 'For merit in the War 1914', on ring suspension with red and white ribbon, 38mm. Issued by Bremen, Hamburg and Lubeck the example with a key to the centre is from Bremen.
