A FIRST WORLD WAR COMPASS AND SIMILAR BINOCULARS. A Verner's Pattrern compass by F.Darton & Co. London, No.5955, 1913 with government arrow, the leather case stamped R.Stafford 1918 and in ink 'C.C.T.' with a handwritten note 'This compass belonged to Cyril Titchmarsh during the First World War'. A Cyril Clarrington Titchmarsh is recorded as serving during the First World War as a Temporary Captain in the Army Service Corps. And a pair of field glasses, unmarked, in leather case and strap.
