Georges Meunier (1869-1942) 'Bloques'.
A coloured lithographic print issued in 1905 in a limited edition of only 100 copies, this example numbered 60 and signed in pencil by the artist in the bottom margin on the right-hand side. The image is of a veteran car stranded in the middle of a field and surrounded by a huge flock of sheep, the driver and his two passengers gesticulating wildly while a group of farmworkers look on and a passenger train passes by on an embankment. Red print along the bottom margin reads: Ed. Sagot - Editeur - Paris. Imp. CHAIX, Paris - Tous droits reserves. Printed artist's signature and the date '05 in the bottom right-hand corner of the image. The image is reproduced in The Motor Car in Art by Zolomij, Automobile Quarterly Pub., 1990. Mounted, framed and glazed. Image size, including the margins, 14.25 x 20.75-inches (36 x 53cm). Good condition and colour.
