A c1885 Coventry Machinists Co. 'Club' Ordinary Bicycle. A Coventry-built 48-inch machine with a very indistinct, acid etched script on the saddle support, the only clear wording is Coventry. The frame is numbered 38037 / 48 and sports 26-inch hooped handlebars, fixed mounting step, leg guard, rebuilt but later leather saddle, original spoking to both wheels with what appear to be plain main bearings, slotted cranks and pedals.
