Victorian Cycling Magazine Illustrations.
A horizontal format folio-size loose-leaf black binder holding a superb collection of about 80 cycling illustrations from the late Victorian period, the majority hand-coloured, others chromo-lithographic prints, most carefully pasted onto cream-coloured card and neatly captioned in black ink in the lower margins. The illustrations are taken from such journals as The Illustrated London News, The Graphic, and The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, and the artists include S. T. Dadd, S. Cornell, W. Rainey and Lucien Davis. All appear to be in very clean condition and are well presented within clear polythene sleeves.
