'SIMPLIFIED MECHANICS' EARLY MECCANO SET
circa 1906-1907, a very rare set comprising various early parts including folding edge tinplate steel strips and feather key brassware. Contained in original wooden box with tinplate plaque to lid.
*In 1901 Frank Hornby produced 'Mechanics Made Easy' construction outfits followed by a very limited run of 'Simplified Mechanics' sets from 1906-1907, before the name Meccano was trademarked in 1907.
