AN INTERESTING SKETCH OF BRITISH TROOPS IN EGYPT 1801. A pen and ink drawing of troop positions, a title above indistinctly written in pencil 'a plan of the position of the British in Egypt - Landing at Aboukir Bay 8 March 1807 up to the attack on Alexandria 21 May 1807'. Framed and glazed, 38cm x 46cm overall. *It seems the invasion of Egypt took place in 1801 not 1807 as stated, and that this may be a copy of W. Faden's print published on 28th May 1801.
