A LATE 19TH CENTURY AMERICAN MARYLAND 175TH INFANTRY REGIMENT SHAKO.
With a broad flat top with tapering conical 'plume', the plate with central pierced number '5' within 1867 Decus Et Praesidium with in laurels and beneath a crest, backed by a line of flat linked chain, with shallow brass rimmed peak and chin strap. With fabric and leather lined interior, 31cm high, 24cm front to back.
