A FINE PAIR OF DUELLING PISTOLS BY PROSSER OF LONDON.
A pair of Officer's Pistols with 23cm flat topped 17 bore round barrels engraved 'London', with gold line at the breech and fore and aft sights, with underslung swivelling ramrods, the flintlock actions with decorative French style cocks, 'V' shaped waterproof pans, sliding safety bolts, roller frizzen springs and detented main springs, the side plates finely engraved with 'Prosser' to both guns, with finely engraved trigger guards and butt plates, vacant escutcheons and elaborately decorated stock. 38cm overall. In a later fitted case with accessories comprising 19bore mould, cleaning rod and recent turn screw.
