A Great War trio comprising 1914-15 Star, War Medal and Victory Medal with Mentioned in Despatches Oak leaves named to 2nd Lieut A.J.R. Walter Gordon Highlanders. Austen James Robert Walter was appointed Captain on the 18th July 1917 at which time he is recorded as being with the 3rd Battalion (Reserve). In distressed presentation case. Walter relinquished his commission on April 1st 1920 retaining the rank of Captain. Mounted as worn.
