Pierrot and Columbine Motor-Car Mascots
Unusual to find as a pair, these well-crafted bronze figurines retain their gilt finish with ivorine (not ivory) head and arms. A popular character in the commedia dell'arte oeuvre, Pierrot is singing and playing his mandolin to Columbine who rejects him in favour of Harlequin, a rare mascot in similar condition, but with a damaged hand. Both mounted on turned mahogany bases, each mascot 14 cms high. (2)
