Pierrot and Columbine Motor-Car Mascots Unusual to find as a pair, these well-crafted bronze figurines retain their gilt finish with ivorine (not ivory) head and arms. A popular character in the commedia dell'arte oeuvre, Pierrot is singing and playing his mandolin to Columbine who rejects him in favour of Harlequin, a rare mascot in similar condition, but with a damaged hand. Both mounted on turned mahogany bases, each mascot 14 cms high. (2)

“I received the bicycle stand that you sent yesterday and would like to pass on my grateful thanks. It was ‘totally excellent’ and couldn’t have been packaged better if it was the crown jewels.”
