Lot 267

A c1930 Tri-ang Motor Caravanette A rare floor toy, being a cross between a vehicle and a doll's house. It possesses its original furnishings and windows. Tri-ang's early vehicles in the late 1920s were described as 'Doll's Motor Vans' having an open-front cab design to create an easily accessible driver's space that was a perfect place for a child to put a doll or small teddy bear. The sides of the caravan have opening windows (apparently the same window parts used in some of their doll houses), and the back of the vehicle has two opening 'French Window' doors, together with a set of steps that can be moved into place when the doors are open. The chimney is missing but the electric lighting facility is insitu. Two windows need re-fitting. 18-inches long, 8-inches wide.

“I just wanted to thank you for all your help with sorting mum’s possessions out. You have been kind, compassionate, professional and are clearly experts in your field. You have both communicated every step of the process, so I felt very informed and confident that I could leave everything to you. You have managed to make a stressful process not stressful at all!! Ryan and Jayden were also brilliant when they came to take the furniture. Thanks so much to you all. I’ve been full of praise for you all, and Lawrences, to anyone who’s asked me how the sale of mum’s house is going. I’ll definitely be recommending!”
