Juvenile Transport Subject Books
Covering a wide period from the 1920s to the 1950s, many with excellent artwork to the covers and good editorial images. Some spines loose or partly missing, but a collection put together over many years by M.J.W-W, and a number of rarely seen examples from different publishers, to include the rare The Golliwogg's Auto-Go-Cart by Florence Lupton of 1901 which, according to M.J.W-W in his Automobilia book, was found 'lying in a Sussex hedge, grubby but complete', in fact, it is in very poor condition. M.J.W-W collected both boys and girls juvenile books with a transport theme, and amongst the books being offered are some rare titles, many with excellent colour art work to the front covers and editorial See also lot 51.
