Submariner's Watch Goes Sky High in Jewellery Auction...
17th January 2020
The popular auctions of jewellery and watches at Lawrences in Crewkerne are always a success and the 370-lot selection on January 16th was no exception.
Eager bidding in the room, online and by telephone ensured strong prices and highlights included £3120 for an opal and diamond bracelet sold with an opal and diamond cluster ring, 4250 for an emerald and diamond three stone ring and £3120 for a pair of diamond and pearl drop earrings. A lot containing good jade and gold items attracted Oriental bidders to make £1870.
A Gentleman’s Tudor Prince Oyster Date Submariner watch was bought above expectations for £7620. As is often the case, the top bids were reserved for good diamonds and a 2.8 carat solitaire ring with a baguette-cut diamond to each shoulder took the sale’s top price at just over £15,500.
