Merriott Youth Crowned Cup Champions – A Proud Moment for Our Community...

Recently, the Merriott Youth Under 8s delivered a truly unforgettable performance in the Yeovil District League Cup Final, storming to a 8-1 victory over Milborne Port Youth.
With Lawrences Auctioneers proudly sponsoring the team, we couldn’t be happier to see our logo on their shirts as they lifted the trophy! The boys have represented the community with passion, determination, and real team spirit all season long. They have been out preforming their away-teams by solid numbers since January, but this final match was one to remember.
All seven players gave it their all on the pitch, working as a tight-knit unit and showing maturity well beyond their years. A special moment came when the Merriott Youth goalkeeper scored from his own box, a rare and impressive feat at any level.
Harrison stood out as a star player, delivering a performance full of skill and energy that helped drive the team to victory. This match also marked the end of the season for Merriott Youth, with the next one kicking off in September. What a way to wrap up months of hard work and growth!
