Lawrences to Host Valuation Day in Aid of Ferne...

Lawrences Auctioneers is holding a special valuation day at Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Chard, with 100% of donations received going directly towards supporting the sanctuary.
Taking place at Ferne Animal Sanctuary on the 24th September, visitors will be able to bring along items for valuation between 10am and 1pm, with a minimum donation of £1 per item. There is no need to book, and members of the public are welcome to attend and have their items valued by the Lawrences team while helping to raise funds for the sanctuary.
The event forms part of Lawrences’ ongoing commitment to supporting Ferne Animal Sanctuary, which have chosen as its exclusive charity.
At Lawrences, clients who consign items for auction have the option of donating any unsold items to charity rather than having them returned. Lawrences then sells these items through a variety of channels, with the proceeds donated to Ferne. This has already helped raise funds for the sanctuary and forms part of a growing relationship between the two local organisations.
The partnership became even more important following a recent break-in at Ferne, during which thousands of pounds worth of equipment used for the animals' daily feeds was stolen. In response, Lawrences donated its remaining charity fund for the year, providing a further £1,000 to Ferne's Crisis Appeal.
Ferne Animal Sanctuary has praised Lawrences for its continued support, describing the £1,000 donation as "an incredible contribution at a time when the sanctuary needed it most". The organisations are now working together as part of a long-term partnership, with Lawrences supporting Ferne as a Corporate Ambassador.
Lawrences Auctioneers is now inviting the local community to come along to the valuation day, have their items valued and, in doing so, help support the sanctuary and the animals in its care.
