Lawrences Proudly Partners with Ferne Animal Sanctuary...

Earlier this year, Lawrences Auctioneers was delighted to donate £400 to Ferne Animal Sanctuary through our staff charity fund. The fund is made possible thanks to the generosity of our vendors, who can choose to donate unwanted items rather than have them returned after auction. The proceeds from the sale of these donated items are collected into a charity fund, with our staff deciding together which local causes to support.
One charity was mentioned time and time again, Ferne Animal Sanctuary.
Recently, we were invited to visit the sanctuary and see first-hand the incredible work that takes place there. We were warmly welcomed by Nikki and Amy, who gave us a tour of the entire site and explained how donations help provide care, shelter, and a brighter future for the animals that call Ferne home.
During our visit, we met a wonderful variety of rescued animals, including birds, goats, pigs, horses, cats, dogs, and many others. Some of these animals are successfully rehomed, while others remain at the sanctuary for the rest of their lives, receiving the specialist care and love they deserve. Seeing the sanctuary in action made it clear just how vital ongoing funding is to supporting their work.
Inspired by everything we saw, we made the big decision to make Ferne Animal Sanctuary our chosen charity going forward. As we continue to raise money through the sale of donated items, we will be supporting Ferne on a regular basis as part of our commitment to giving back to the local community and helping a charity that makes a real difference close to home. On our visit, we proudly raised another donation of £580, raised with the help of Ryan, our saleroom manager, and gave the funds during our visit.
