Lawrences held a two-day General Sale auction this week, the first of our Spring sales since the easing of lockdown and the reopening of our doors. We welcomed a steady stream of visitors; old faces and new.
Despite no in-room bidding being allowed, we executed many absentee bids and conducted live online bidding throughout. We had a great sale with the unsold rate remarkably low and over 95% of the lots finding eager buyers.
“It is undoubtedly a great time for sellers if they are having a clear-out of their lofts,” says Lawrences’ Managing Director, Helen Carless. “We can see that collectors love to browse and bid online in an auction from the comfort and safety of their own home.”
