A Pope Mfg Co., 'Columbia Model 38' Bicycle. Dating circa 1894, this blue-enamelled 24-inch frame would be ideal for sprinting and competition work. Originally a cushion-tyred bicycle, but now fitted with 28 x 1¾-inch pneumatics, but retaining its double-roller driving chain, petit competition leather saddle, semi-drop 18-inch handlebars with a Lucas LSD bell fitted, rubber grips and American style rat trap pedals.
