The galleried plinth set with four fret pierced panels of conjoined hearts or foliate motifs, 12 1/2ins. (31.5cms.) high x 14ins. (36cms.) long overall Footnote: Pompee launched 28 May 1791. Captured at Toulon 29 August 1793. Her Captain Poulain joined the British fleet. Fought at the Battle of Algeciras Bay under Captain Charles Stirling. The ship's capture allowed the English to copy the Temeraire design. She ended her days as a prison hulk in Portsmouth £2000-3000
